My work is inspired by life in the islands and observation.
One afternoon, while we were out enjoying a dip in the sea, we watched as a monkey pick the fruit off our drinks. He wasn’t speedy; it wasn’t a grab-and-run. He took his time, inching closer, playing with a leaf or his toes, relaxed, looking around casually to see if anyone was watching, he slowly crept closer until he was able to reach out and carefully remove the fruit, then leisurely bit into the cold, juicy pineapple like it was the best ever. I swear he was smiling.
Worth the cost of admission.  That moment inspired 'Monkey Hour.'
